Kentucky Bear was the first Preakness Stakes (G1) hopeful to arrive at Pimlico after a 539 mile drive from Lexington.
Kentucky Bear, who has had two consecutive bullet works in Kentucky the last two Saturdays, jogged twice around the Pimlico track under exercise rider Cassie Garcia 16 hours after his arrival and trainer Reade Baker was delighted with the way the Mr. Greeley colt settled in at his new surroundings.
"Ever since he came into Kentucky [April 2] he's built more muscle, he's actually matured a little more," Baker said. "I think he's got a great chance coming into this race. Everything's just clicked perfectly with him."

Trainer Reade Baker, on Kentucky Bear's chances in the Preakness Stakes (G1):
"He is very versatile and can do anything. He has natural speed and is not crazy. I think that bodes very well for the Preakness."
