The first edition of Thoroughbred Times TODAY Auction Insider sponsored by Journeyman Stud, a special sales supplement that provides comprehensive information vital to active participants in North America’s major public auctions, is now available via download at www.thoroughbredtimes.com.
The first Auction Insider focuses on the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s March sale of selected two-year-olds in training and is the first of three such publications for upcoming juveniles in training sales. Complimentary copies of Auction Insider will be distributed at the OBS March sale, Fasig-Tipton Florida sale of selected two-year-olds in training, and the Keeneland April two-year-olds in training sale.
Journeyman Stud, owned and operated by Brent and Crystal Fernung, is a full-service commercial operation that stands 14 stallions and offers Thoroughbred investment opportunities, board, training, sales, and other services. Auction Insider contains unique editorial and statistical features that provide in-depth analysis for buyers and consignors for two-year-olds in training sales.
Editorial features in the downloadable PDF will include a look at the upcoming sales season, profile buyers and sellers, analyze past auctions, feature leading runners produced by each sale, and much more. Key auction players also will be asked to give their opinions in the “Hot Topics” section in each Auction Insider.
The comprehensive statistical section will contain such useful information as a list of all pinhooked horses in each sale, pinhooking statistics from previous auctions, detailed sire lists that include average earnings and percentages of stakes winners for stallions represented in the sales, and broodmare sire statistics for broodmare sires represented by sales horses. The report will include yearling and two-year-old averages, plus average earnings per runner and percentage of stakes winners from starters.
