Mr. Greeley colt brings $260,000 at OBS March

A colt by Mr. Greeley brought a $260,000 bid from Suzanne Smallwood of Equix Biomechanics on behalf of an unidentified racing partnership on Tuesday to kick off the first session of the OBS March sale of selected two-year-olds in training.

"We do our own side analysis with our own videos, and he jumped through all the hoops with the measurement and cardio," Smallwood said. "It's really hard to find one that does that."

Consigned by Robbie Harris' Harris Training Center, agent, the colt worked a quarter in :21.60 during the presale breeze show.

"He was our most popular horse coming in," Harris said, "but you never know what people are thinking. If you knew that this would be an easy game."

Bred in Kentucky by Eurowest Bloodstock Services Ltd., SyBon Racing Stable purchased the second foal out of stakes-placed winner Air Marshall, by Silver Deputy, for $100,000 during the 2009 Keeneland September yearling sale.
