Robert N. Clay’s Three Chimneys Farm has appointed Guinness McFadden as the new director of sales for the farm’s consignment arm, Three Chimneys Sales.
McFadden replaces Elizabeth Voss, who served in the position since 2008.
McFadden worked at Three Chimneys over the past six years, starting out as a groom in the broodmare and yearling divisions and eventually joining the sales team in 2007. Prior to joining Three Chimneys in 2004, he was involved with his family’s northern California farm and frequently traveled to New York to attend the races with his uncle, who owns and breeds Thoroughbreds.
McFadden will be joined by new sales assistant Jessica Bruch. Bruch has worked in the farm’s stallion administration office for the past year. A graduate of the University of Nebraska with an animal science degree, she worked for Cory Williams, D.V.M., as a veterinary assistant prior to coming to Three Chimneys.
“Having worked my way from the ground up taught me invaluable lessons about horsemanship, character, and producing a premium product,” McFadden said. “I appreciate the opportunity to have learned from some of the best in the business, like Tony Burton, Richie Donworth, Jim Morehead, Robert and Case Clay, and our outgoing director of sales Elizabeth Voss, and I look forward to putting that knowledge to good use for our clients and buyers.”
Voss, who has been with the farm for eight years, plans to move to Maryland to pursue other opportunities in the horse industry. She will remain involved with Three Chimneys Sales as a consultant.
