Both the Premier and Select sales closed with average price up more than 25%, and the Festival sale about followed suit with average price increasing 24.9% to $10,292 ($14,987 New Zealand).
The Festival yearling sale closed with 328 yearlings reported as sold for $3,375,565 ($4,915,600), a 9.3% increase compared with 2009. Total sales were up 22.6% and 34.6%, respectively, at the New Zealand Bloodstock Premier and Select yearling sales.
Monday’s session topper established a new benchmark for the Festival yearling sale.
