Freud filly among standouts at OBS show

A Freud filly turned in the fastest quarter-mile drill and six horses tied for the fastest one-furlong workout on Wednesday at the second of four under-tack shows for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring sale of two-year-olds in training.
Consigned by Everett Livestock, the bay Freud filly was the last two-year-old scheduled to work and drilled two furlongs in :20.40. The half sister to Grade 3-placed winner Show Me the Cash is out of the winning Judge T C mare Unbridled Cyclone.
The fastest time for one furlong was :09.80, which was clocked by colts by Stormy Atlantic, Indian Ocean, City Zip, and Gibson County as well as fillies by Posse and Sharp Humor.
Consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent, the Stormy Atlantic colt is out of the Slew City Slew mare Seattle Stardust, a half sister to 2004 NetJets Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) winner Singletary.
The Indian Ocean colt, named Bestcasescenario, is from the consignment of Bridlewood Farm. A half brother to Grade 2 winner Worstcasescenario, the bay colt is out of the winning Halo mare Stacie’s Halo.
The City Zip colt is from the consignment of Ricky Leppala, agent, and is out of the Touch Gold mare Stylish Manner
Consigned by McKathan Bros., agent, the Gibson County colt is out of multiple stakes winner Tanja, by Allen’s Prospect.
Indian Prairie Ranch consigns the Posse filly, named Prairie Posse. She is out of the Clever Trick mare Starlit Lake.
The Sharp Humor filly is out of the winning Home At Last mare U Got the Touch. Named Skiddles n’ Bob, she is from the consignment of Sescan LLC, agent.
A filly by Pico Central (Brz) and a filly by Greatness drilled three furlongs in :33 to tie for the fastest time at the distance. Eddie Woods, agent, consigns the Pico Central (Brz) filly out of the Cherokee Run mare Strawberrydaiquiri; Blue River Bloodstock, agent, offers the Greatness filly out of the Southern Halo mare Southern Wave.
A Peace Rules colt drilled the fastest half-mile, covering the distance in :45.60. Consigned by 30-30 Farm, agent, the bay colt is out of stakes-placed winner Shady Woman, by Northern Afleet.
Two-year-olds that worked Wednesday will go through the auction ring on the second day of the sale. The third and fourth under-tack shows are slated for Thursday and Friday.
The OBS spring sale runs from April 19 through April 22 with sessions beginning daily at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
