Island Fashion’s Ghostzapper colt in JRHA select sale

The Japan Racing Horse Association’s select sale is scheduled for July 13-15 at Northern Horse Park.
The yearling session is scheduled for July 13, followed by two days of foal sessions.
A colt by American Horse of the Year Ghostzapper, out of multiple American Grade 1 winner Island Fashion, is entered in the July 14 foal sale. Katsumi Yoshida purchased Island Fashion, in foal to Ghostzapper, for $950,000 at the 2009 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale.
Island Fashion, a nine-year-old Petionville mare, won six of 30 starts and earned $2,037,970 for owner/breeder Everest Stables. Everest owner Jeff Nielsen sold her as part of his reduction sale.
Other sires in the sale with American ties include A.P. Indy, Came Home, Forty Niner, Gone West, Grand Slam, Indian Charlie, Medaglia d’Oro, Mineshaft, Officer, Roses in May, Smart Strike, Tiznow, Unbridled’s Song, and War Emblem.
