Eight tie for fastest one-furlong drill at Midlantic breeze show

Eight horses tied for the fastest one-furlong breeze on Wednesday at the first of two under-tack shows for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale of two-year-olds in training in Timonium, Maryland.

Colts by D’wildcat, Forest Danger, Tale of the Cat, Tapit, and Woke Up Dreamin, and fillies by Eurosilver, Exchange Rate, and Freud all worked one furlong in :10.20, the fastest time at the distance.

The Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale will be held on May 18-19, with sessions beginning at 10 a.m. EDT. The second under-tack show will be held on Thursday, starting at 10 a.m.

Consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent, the D’wildcat colt is out of the winning Nasty and Bold mare Sweet But Nasty.

The Forest Danger colt is out of the stakes-producing Saratoga Six mare Spa Romance from the consignment of James Layden, agent.

Named Daimon’s Tale, the Tale of the Cat colt is out of stakes winner and stakes producer Daimon, by Strike Gold. Cary Frommer is offering the colt as part of the Hobeau Farm dispersal.

Named Tashop, the Tapit colt is a half brother to Grade 1 winner Miss Shop. He is also part of Frommer’s Hobeau Farm dispersal consignment.

Consigned by Rod McVey, agent, the Woke Up Dreamin colt is out of the winning Capture the Gold mare Crafty Gold.

From the consignment of Old South Farm, the Eurosilver filly is out of the winning Devil’s Bag mare Scope.

Named Copy Me, the Exchange Rate filly is out of the Saint Ballado mare With Precision from the consignment of M & H Training and Sales, agent.

The Freud filly is out of the winning Gold Legend mare True Legend from the consignment of Eisaman Equine, agent.

A bay colt by Orientate worked two furlongs in :21.40, the fastest time at the distance. Out of the winning Dixieland Band mare L’Abidjanaise, the bay colt is from the consignment of Kirkwood Stables, agent.
