City Zip colt shines at OBSC June under-tack show

A City Zip colt turned in the fastest quarter-mile breeze on Sunday at the second of two under-tack shows for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June sale of two-year-olds and horses of racing age.

The two-day OBSC June sale will be held on June 17-18 with sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m. EDT.

Consigned by Woodside Ranch, agent, the City Zip colt drilled two furlongs in :21. He is a half brother to Grade 3-placed winner Premier Performer and is out of the winning Play On mare Play Po.

A Sky Mesa filly and an Exchange Rate filly tied for the fastest one-furlong move at the under-tack show, covering the distance in :10.

Consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables, agent, the Sky Mesa filly, named Carla, is a half sister to stakes-placed winner Yessiremychickadee. Carla is out of the unraced Boundary mare French Line, a half sister to Grade 1 winners Nine Keys and Silver Voice.

The Exchange Rate filly is from the consignment of Stephens Thoroughbreds, agent for Vision Sales. She is out of the unraced Saint Ballado mare Infinity.

A Peace Rules filly and a Skip to the Stone filly tied for the fastest three-furlong breeze in :33.40.

Consigned by Michael Yates’s Shadybrook Farm, agent, the Peace Rules filly is out of the winning All Gone mare Long Gone Lady, a half sister to multiple graded stakes winner Erica’s Dream and stakes winner Twosies Answer, dam of champion Answer Lively. The Peace Rules filly is a half sister to stakes-placed winner Britten’s Beauty.

The Skip to the Stone filly, named Skippin’ Daisy, is a half sister to Grade 2-placed winner Eighteenthofmarch. Consigned by Gayle Woods, agent, the Skip to the Stone filly is out of the unraced Evansville Slew mare Oopsy Daisy.
