Roaring Fever filly, Medaglia d’Oro colt top Fasig-Tipton breeze show


A Roaring Fever filly and Medaglia d’Oro colt turned in the fastest one-furlong workouts on Wednesday during the first of two under-tack shows for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale of two-year-olds in training on May 19-20.

Both two-year-olds covered one furlong in :10.20.

Danny Pate’s Solitary Oak, agent, consigned the Medaglia d’Oro colt, who is out of the winning Saint Ballado mare Princess Legacy.

The Roaring Fever filly, consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, is out of the Devil’s Bag mare Polish Devil. The Roaring Fever filly is a half sister to stakes-placed winner Deviletta, dam of Grade 1 winner Wicked Style.

A filly by Tapit and a colt by Speightstown breezed two furlongs in :21.40, the fastest time at the distance on Wednesday.

Randy Miles, agent, consigned the Tapit filly, who is out of the winning Copelan mare McCaskill.

The Speightstown colt is a half brother to Grade 2 winner Dream About and is out of stakes winner Social Director, by Deputy Minister. The dark bay or brown colt is property of Newbridge Bloodstock with Woodside Ranch acting as agent.

A Malibu Moon filly turned worked three-eighths in :33.40 to record Wednesday’s fastest time at the distance. Leprechaun Racing, agent, consigned the chestnut filly, who is out of winner Starr’s Star, by Fenter.

Hips one through 324 breezed on Wednesday, and will be offered on May 19. Hips 325 to 650 will breeze on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. EDT, and will be offered on May 20.

Both sale sessions start at 10 a.m. at Timonium Sales Pavilion in Timonium, Maryland.
