Redoute’s Choice colt tops opening day at Magic Millions
The Hong Kong Jockey Club paid $653,659 ($725,000 Australian) for a Redoute’s Choice colt to top the first session of the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions yearling sale in Queensland, Australia on Monday.
Out of Marshow, by Marscay, the colt is a half brother to Australian Group 2 winner Into The Night. Baramul Stud consigned the session topper.
The top-priced filly of the day was an Encosta de Lago filly out of Milva, by Strawberry Road (Aus), who went to Laird Racing for $442,000. Strawberry Hill Stud consigned the filly, whose second dam is the Mr. Prospector mare Tersa, a French Group 1 winner and the dam of multiple Grade 1 winner Rock Hard Ten.
The eight-session auction runs through April 2.
