Fillies highlight second OBSC under-tack show
An Exchange Rate filly breezed one furlong in :9.80 on Monday to top the second breeze show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s March sale of selected two-year-olds in training on March 18-19.
Fillies turned in the fastest time at one, two, and three furlongs during the under-tack show at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Complex, which featured hips 231 through 460. A Yonaguska filly worked two furlongs in :20.80 to record the fastest time at the distance, and the top three-furlong move of :33.60 was posted by a Tapit filly.
The breeze shows originally were slated for Friday and Saturday but were rescheduled for Sunday and Monday due to forecasts for severe weather.
The Exchange Rate filly is out of the winning Dispersal mare Disperse a Star, a half sister to multiple stakes winner South Vigorous. The bay Florida-bred filly is consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent.
The Yonaguska filly is consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent for W. D. North and Niall Brennan Stables. The bay filly is out of the winning Afternoon Deelites mare Noon Time Dancer, a half sister to Grade 3-placed stakes winner Indian War Dance and stakes winner Bare Dancer.
Consigned by Shadybrook Farm, agent, the gray or roan Tapit filly is out of Grade 2-placed stakes winner My White Corvette, by Tarr Road.
