Alexander Tango's dam highlights Tattersalls February
House in Wood, dam of 2007 Garden City Stakes (G1) winner Alexander Tango (Ire), heads a catalog of 290 horses for the Tattersalls February sale, which takes place on February 7.
The sale is made up of yearlings, broodmares, broodmare prospects, and horses in training, and is preceded by the stallion parade.
Ireland’s Lewinstown will consign the 11-year-old Woodman mare House in Wood, who will be offered in foal to Oasis Dream (GB). She heads a list of prominent mares that includes Medora Leigh—a half sister to Group 1 winner Germance, in foal to Holy Roman Emperor (Ire)—and stakes winner Fortunately (GB), in foal to Giant’s Causeway.
Other covering sires include Acclamation, Dansili (GB), Haafhd, Hurricane Run (Ire), Nayef, Rainbow Quest, and Singspiel (Ire).
The sale features offerings from Juddmonte Farms and Darley, as well as consignments from leading trainers Clive Brittain, Mick Channon, Paul Cole, Roger Charlton, Luca Cumani, John Gosden, Mark Johnston, Michael Jarvis, Jeremy Noseda, and Dermot Weld.
Sires of yearlings include Bahamian Bounty, Bertolini, Dubai Destination, Numerous, Red Ransom, Rock of Gibraltar (Ire), Tobougg (Ire), Verglas (Ire), and Xaar, along with young sires Avonbridge, Dubawi, Exceed and Excel, Footstepsinthesand, Haafhd, Kheleyf, Kyllachy, Motivator, Needwood Blade (GB), and Starcraft (NZ).
