Four horses turn in fastest eighth at second OBSC breeze show

Four horses tied for the fastest one-furlong drill on Wednesday at the second under-tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s spring sale of two-year-olds in training at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Complex.

The four-day sale runs from April 21 through April 24 with sessions beginning daily at 10:30 a.m. EDT. Under-tack shows for horses consigned to the third and fourth sessions will be held Thursday and Friday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Hips 347 through 690 breezed on Wednesday. A Deputy Wild Cat filly, a Pure Precision colt, a Buddha filly, and a Black Mambo colt each worked an eighth-mile in :10.

Consigned by Hendry Training Stables, agent, the Deputy Wild Cat filly, named Choice Cat, is out of the Bratcher’s Choice mare Gold Choice.

The Pure Precision colt is out of the unraced Half a Year mare Half Gold, a half sister to multiple stakes winner Avenue of Gold. The colt is from the consignment of Woodside Ranch, agent.

The Buddha filly, from the consignment of Cecil and Ojia Stewart, agent, is out of the winning Prospectors Gamble mare Judith’s Gamble.

Consigned by Nick de Meric, agent, the Black Mambo colt is out of the winning Allen’s Prospect mare Listentothebells, a half sister to Grade 3 winner and graded stakes producer Dame’s Sis.

A chestnut filly by Is It True drilled two furlongs in :21, the fastest time at the distance at the second under-tack show. Consigned by Circle D Thoroughbreds, the filly is out of the unraced Tiger Ridge mare Lady Blue Eyes.

An Omega Code filly from the consignment of Tony Bowling and Bobby Dodd, agent, turned in the fastest three-furlong move. Out of multiple Grade 3-placed stakes winner Laurica, by Tactical Advantage, the filly completed three-eighths in :33.60.
