Defaulted yearlings added to Deauville mixed sale

Six yearlings purchased earlier this summer by bloodstock agent Paul Collins will be added to the offerings at the L'Agence Francaise Deauville December mixed sale on December 8-10 in Deauville, France.
The yearlings cost a total of approximately $1,120,704 (8,320,000 French francs). Jocelyn de Moubray, spokesman for the sales company, said they would be offered next month because "they haven't been paid for."
Other yearlings purchased this year by Collins, acting on behalf of British businessman Bobby Killoran, have been resold at other sales.
Two yearlings purchased for $700,000 each at the Keeneland July selected yearling sale were resold for a total of approximately $637,716 at the Goffs Bloodstock Sales Ltd. Orby sale in Ireland. Keeneland filed a lawsuit to recoup the difference.
Fasig-Tipton Co. also considered legal action against Killoran and Collins after $1,945,000 in yearlings were not paid for after being purchased at its Kentucky July selected yearling sale.
The yearlings to be sold at Deauville include an Irish-bred colt by Sadler's Wells out of Eilanden, by Akarad, originally purchased for approximately $350,200 (2.6-million French francs). A colt by Darshaan out of Ezana, by Ela-Mana-Mou, purchased in August for $296,300 (2.1-million francs) will also be sold.
