Group stakes winner Firebreak to sell at Tattersalls

Firebreak, one of Europe's leading two-year-olds after winning group stakes in France and England this year, will be offered for sale at the Tattersalls Autumn horses in training sale in Newmarket, England on October 29-November 1.

Firebreak has won four of six starts, including the Mill Reef Stakes (Eng-G2) at Newbury and Prix de Cabourg (Fr-G3) at Deauville, and has earned $122,037. The son of Charnwood Forest (Ire) is owned by Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds and is trained by Ian Balding.

"Firebreak has been a little bit special from the word go," said Kennet Valley Chairman Nick Robinson. "He is undoubtedly the best horse that Kennet Valley has ever owned, and obviously it is with some regret that we are offering him for sale, but those are the terms of the partnership agreement."

Bred in Britain by R. P. Williams, Firebreak is the out of the stakes-placed Song mare Breakaway and is a half brother to stakes-placed winner Stop Out.
