Keeneland to conduct Hong Kong International sale

The Piaget Hong Kong International sale in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will be held on December 14 during International Races Week. A record 40 juvenile colts and geldings purchased from sales from around the world have been cataloged for the event that will be conducted by Keeneland Association.Keeneland Director of Sales Geoffrey Russell and head auctioneer Ryan Mahan will head the Hong Kong sale.

"We're very excited about this year's Hong Kong consignment," Russell said. "The catalog includes ten sons of outstanding Coolmore stallion Danehill, along with such top sires as Dynaformer, Quiet American, Desert King, and Danasinga. It is an absolutely splendid collection of two-year-olds, and I fully believe the bidding for them will be very aggressive."

A bonus of approximately $125,000, or 10% of the horse's total earnings (which ever is larger), will be awarded to the sales graduate with the most earnings at the time of next year's sale.
