Fasig-Tipton Co.'s November sales calendar continues on Thursday night when Frank Stronach offers 77 in-foal broodmares during the fifth annual Adena Springs annual broodmare sale at the Newtown Paddocks in Lexington. The sale begins at 7:30 p.m. EST.The broodmares, which are offered without reserves, are offered in-foal to 13 stallions representing the Adena Springs locations in Kentucky, Florida, and Canada.

The covering stallions include 1998 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Awesome Again and '97 Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Touch Gold. Other mares will be sold in foal to Alphabet Soup, El Prado (Ire), Golden Missile, Lit de Justice, Running Stag, and Wild Rush.

Last year's Adena sale saw 64 in-foal broodmares sell for a total of $3,649,000, a 7.2% decline from 1999's total of $3,930,000 for 58 sold. The average was $57,016, down 15.9% from the previous year.
