Roy yearling tops Arkansas mixed sale
A yearling colt by dual hemisphere sire Roy sold for $30,000 to highlight the Arkansas fall mixed sale on December 3 at the Arkansas Livestock Show Grounds in Little Rock.
Rocket Racing Inc. was listed as the buyer of the chestnut colt, who is out of the Fair Skies mare Two Foxie and was consigned by Global Express.
Sales officials reported 148 of the 176 horses offered were sold for a total of $457,200, a decrease of 53.9% from last year's total of $991,500 for 130 sold. The sale's average slipped 59.5% to $3,089 and median dropped 48.1% to $1,350.
