Barretts March two-year-olds in training sale moved up a week
The Barretts March two-year-olds in training sale in Pomona, California, has been moved up a week in 2002 to March 5 in an effort to better serve international buyers, the sales company said."The primary motivation is to put the sale in a better proximity to the Fasig-Tipton Calder sale in Florida (on February 26), which makes the trip for our foreign buyers a little easier," Jerry McMahon, president and general manager of Barretts Equine Sales, told Daily Racing Form. "It also helps us avoid a conflict with the major jumps meeting at Cheltenham."
Barretts reports approximately 500 nominations for the sale.
