Cyber Secret added to list of early Triple Crown nominees

The list of early nominations to the Triple Crown grew to 398 on Tuesday as Charles Cella’s Cyber Secret was added to the list.

Cyber Secret, by Broken Vow, was omitted from the original list, which was released Saturday, due to a clerical error. Churchill Downs officials said Cyber Secret was not on the original lists after a Triple Crown representative took the nomination at Oaklawn Park prior to the close of the early nominations for the classics.

Cyber Secret has two wins from four starts, most recently taking an optional claiming race at 1 1/16 miles by 5 ¼ lengths on February 4 at Oaklawn.

The later period for nominations, which includes a fee of $6,000 per nominee, ends on March 24. The colt is trained by Lynn Whiting, most notably the trainer of 1992 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Lil E. Tee.
