Unbeaten two-time champion older female Zenyatta breezed six furlongs on Friday at Hollywood Park as she prepares for a probable start in the $300,000 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes (G1) on August 7 at Del Mar.

Jerry and Ann Moss’ six-year-old Street Cry (Ire) mare covered the distance in 1:13.60 on the synthetic Cushion Track surface. The workout was the fourth fastest of 13 moves at the distance. Zenyatta has worked out every seven or eight days since May in preparation for her 18th career start.

If she does contest the Clement L. Hirsch, she will be gunning for her third straight win in the 1 1/16-mile race for fillies and mares.

Kudos to the Z team for the judicious management of this lovely and talented mare-may your discretion (and her success) continue. It is wonderful to see her still sound, and competing at the top of her game.

It's time to give the East coast fans the thrill of seeing Zenyatta. The Rachel vs. Zenyatta showdown should happen in Saratoga on Aug. 29th in the Personal Ensign. Why wait for the BC? Every good title fight looks forward to the rematch.

Zenyatta's pretty. (Not to mention talented!) She looks so cute in that picture. I know the Clement L. Hirsch is a G1, but it's same thing she's won two years in a row now. They should put her in different races on dirt-Like the Apple Blossom, which she won by 6 lengths this year-obviously she does good on dirt. She's so awesome, so enter her in races that are more exciting... She also prevailed over males in the 09' BCC, so why not put the Big Z against males again??

Good luck Zenyatta, you're so cool and we love you!
