Champion Lookin At Lucky blazed five furlongs in :58.60 handily on Monday morning at Del Mar in his final workout for the $1-million IZOD Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) on Sunday at Monmouth Park.

The Preakness Stakes (G1) winner (video) delivered the fastest of 47 moves at the distance by three-fifths of a second over the next best time.

Lookin At Lucky has recorded eight published workouts since June 9, when he resumed serious training after a short break following his Preakness victory on May 15.

All things being equal. If Lucky had run in Haskell last year. Rachel would have beaten him 12 lengths!
In the slop! She has slowed down to his time this year!

Lookin' at Lucky is good, but I would say Quality Road is the most talented right now. If he behaves, he should win the BC with Afleet Express pushing him.

Good luck Lucky! Let's see if you're lucky in this one too! (Not that he wins his races by PURE luck of course!)
Yeah, I would call that work "sizzling" too! He'll probably win, but he's most likely gonna have to reeeealy try hard for the win.
This is probably gonna be the most exciting race of the year, at least up to this point. I can't wait!

"I agree with Sprewell. LatL is by far the best horse running today."
Huh??? Three year old, maybe. I'm sure he's the best horse named Looking At Lucky though.

I agree with Sprewell. LatL is by far the best horse running today. Win the Haskel; then the Traverse; take a long break and come in fresh to take the BC big one.
