Zayat Stables’ multiple graded stakes winner Heart Ashley has been retired and will be offered in the 2010 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

The four-year-old Lion Heart filly out of Pretty ‘n Smart, by Beau Genius, won six of ten career starts and earned $395,896. Heart Ashley is a half sister to Grade 3 winner Ashley’s Kitty, by Tale of the Cat.

Heart Ashley won the Cicada Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct and the Adena Stallions’ Miss Preakness Stakes (G3) at Pimlico Race Course in 2009. She won both her 2010 starts, including the $250,000 My Juliet Stakes at Philadelphia Park in her final career start on May 29.

Owner Ahmed Zayat said she was retired because her ankles were showing signs of wear and tear. Heart Ashley will be consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, at Keeneland November.
