Dubai Majesty continued to assert herself as a force among female sprinters regardless of surface when she upset heavily favored West Ocean with a neck victory in the $93,000 Incredible Revenge Stakes on Sunday at Monmouth Park.

The five-year-old Essence of Dubai mare was fifth of sixth runners and more than two lengths back of the leader in the stretch but finished strongly on the outside under Miguel Mena to win.

West Ocean had won her previous three starts—all stakes—by a combined 12 1/2 lengths, but she could not re-rally against Dubai Majesty after making a four-wide move and taking the lead in deep stretch.

Dubai Majesty has won consecutive editions of the Winning Colors Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs, site of this year’s Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1). She defeated Secret Gypsy in this year’s Winning Colors, and that adversary has gone on to win consecutive stakes, including the Honorable Miss Handicap (G2) at Saratoga Race Course.

Trained by Bret Calhoun for Martin Racing Stable and Dan Morgan, Dubai Majesty has won ten of 31 career starts and earned $769,243. She has won stakes on both turf and dirt and is Grade 1 placed on Polytrack. Harold Plumley bred her in Florida out of the winning Great Above mare Great Majesty, dam of the multiple stakes winner Majestic Dinner, by Formal Dinner.
