She Be Wild scores visually impressive Lassie win

She Be Wild closed strongly from eighth in the nine-horse field en route to a visually impressive 5¾-length win in the $150,000 Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes (G3) on Saturday at Arlington Park.

Nancy Mazzoni’s homebred Offlee Wild filly has won all three of her career starts by a combined margin of 18¼ lengths, all at Arlington. Trained by Wayne Catalano, She Be Wild completed one mile on the synthetic Polytrack surface in 1:38.67.

After running comfortably off the pace through the first six furlongs, jockey Junior Alvarado sent She Be Wild between horses in early stretch to take the lead. Once guided to clear running room, She Be Wild drew off to the easy victory.

Bred in Kentucky, She Be Wild entered off a 5¼-length romp in the Top Flight Stakes on August 8. She debuted with a 7¼-length maiden special weight score on May 30.

One of two winners from as many starters out of the unplaced Seeking the Gold mare Trappings, She Be Wild boosted her bankroll to $131,400.
