Nicanor, a full brother to ill-fated 2006 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Barbaro, will make his second career start on Saturday at Gulfstream Park.

The seven-furlong maiden special weight race on the main track is slated as the eighth race on the card.

Trained by Michael Matz for Roy and Gretchen Jackson's Lael Stables, the three-year-old Dynaformer colt finished 10th of 12 horses in his career debut on January 31 at Gulfstream.

Nicanor worked four furlongs in :48.40 handily on March 3 at Palm Meadows Training Center. The move ranked 14th of 47 timed moves at the distance.
