Exactly 30 minutes after Greg Gilchrist saddled Wild Promises to a win in the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf, the veteran trainer picked up his second win on the Sunshine Millions card at Gulfstream Park.

High Resolve led at every call under jockey Robby Albarado to post a 2 ¼-length victory in the $300,000 Hill ‘n’ Dale Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint Stakes.

Like Wild Promises, High Resolve is owned by the estate of the late Harry Aleo and was shipped in from California for the victory.

“I was confident,” Gilchrist said. “Her last two races at Santa Anita [second in stakes races] are probably better than most people realize. She kept getting hooked on the lead.”

No one hooked the four-year-old Put It Back filly in the Sunshine Millions as she proved clearly best, completing six furlongs in 1:10.55 on a track rated as fast.

Dubai Majesty closed from eighth to finish second, three lengths clear of 5-to-2 favorite Lovely Isle.

The Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint was the fifth stakes victory for High Resolve, who has earned $426,270 with seven wins in ten starts. She is one of six winners from eight starters out of the On to Glory mare Shari’s Glory.
