Campbell leaves Magna Entertainment

Jerry Campbell resigned as a director of Magna Entertainment Corp. on Friday. Campbell also served as a member of the audit committee.

"On behalf of everyone at MEC, I would like to thank Jerry for his dedication and many years of service," Magna chairman and chief executive officer Frank Stronach said.

Magna must replace Campbell on the audit committee by either February 20, 2010, or the next MEC shareholders' meeting to remain in compliance with NASDAQ rules.
