Central Bank to sponsor Ashland Stakes

Keeneland Race Course has reached a deal with Central Bank to be the sponsor of the $400,000 Ashland Stakes (G1) on April 3.

Central Bank previously sponsored Keeneland’s Transylvania Stakes (G3) from 2005 to ’09.

“Central Bank is a respected leader in the commonwealth and a special member of the Keeneland family,” said Rogers Beasley, Keeneland’s director of racing. “We value their continued commitment to the Thoroughbred industry, and look forward to exploring ways to grow our partnership, particularly with regard to community involvement.”

Ashland Inc. was the sponsor of the Ashland Stakes from 1986 to 2008.
