Dr. John Chandler’s homebred Dynaforce brought her ‘A’ game to Arlington Park on Saturday as she charged to the finish to win the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes over French invader Alnadana (Ire).

With the win, Dynaforce secured a starting spot in the $2-million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) on November 6 at the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita Park via the Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win and You're In" series.

The 1 3/16-mile turf  race for fillies and mares drew eight contenders, led by 3-to-2 favorite Pure Clan, an impressive winner of Arlington’s Modesty Handicap (G3) on July 11. Tizaqueena and Dynaforce filled out the second and third spots in the Modesty, the local Beverly D. prep race.

Darley Stable’s Tizaqueena, who had never finished worse than third in eight career starts entering the Beverly D., seized the initiative under jockey E. T. Baird and set sensible fractions of :25.24 and :50.67 through a half-mile. She covered the first six furlongs in 1:15.65 with Dynaforce poised in second and keeping close tabs on the leader.

Alnadana, who won the Prix Messidor (Fr-G3) on July 18 at Maisons-Lafitte, broke from her rail post under regular jockey Christophe Soumillon, who kept her close to the rail positioned in third.

Turning for home, Desormeaux called upon Dynaforce and the six-year-old Dynaformer mare answered with a steady drive to the front, edging clear late for a 1¼-length victory in 1:58.29 on turf rated as good.

Alnadana, who at one point hit the rail while trapped behind the leaders, finished willingly for second, a neck in front of late-running Pure Clan, who rallied from last to take third. Pure Clan finished a nose in front of pacesetter Tizaqueena.

Kentucky-bred Dynaforce started her career in France, where she was a stakes winner and Group 2-placed for trainer Andre Fabre, before she was shipped to the United States barn of trainer Bill Mott after her 2007 campaign. Last year for Mott, she won the Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park and finished second in the Diana Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course and the New York Stakes (G2) at Belmont.

In turning the tables on Modesty Handicap foes Pure Clan and Tizaqueena, Dynaforce surpassed the million-dollar plateau in career earnings. She has bankrolled $1,080,772 while winning five of 15 career starts.

Out of the winning Diesis (GB) mare Aletta Maria, Dynaforce is a half sister to two-time Grade 1 winner Cetewayo, Grade 2 winner Bowman Mill, and stakes winner Ntombi.
