Adequan sponsors print coverage of Road to the Triple Crown

Posted: Friday, April 10, 2009 1:26 PM

Leading joint medication company Adequan® i.m. (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan) will sponsor  print coverage of the Road to the Triple Crown that appears in the THOROUGHBRED TIMES weekly publication and THOROUGHBRED TIMES TODAY daily electronic publication leading up to and including the Triple Crown races.

“The Triple Crown represents some of the most talented, athletic animals in the racing world,” said Allyn Mann, senior manager, Animal Health Division for Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the manufacturer of Adequan. “We realize that the wear and tear on their joints from the high demands of this sport make these horses ideal candidates for Adequan® i.m. (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan).

“Adequan® i.m. (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan) is pleased to sponsor The Road to the Triple Crown and encourages trainers and horse owners to view their joint health video at: www.adequan.com.”

Racing fans can follow all the developments of all the Triple Crown’s leading classic contenders in THOROUGHBRED TIMES TODAY’s Road to the Triple Crown comprehensive package that appears weekly on Thursdays during the prep season. Readers can read in-depth reports on prep races from Santa Anita Park, Keeneland Race Course, Aqueduct, and other tracks in the weekly edition of THOROUGHBRED TIMES.

The Triple Crown begins with the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) on May 2 at Churchill Downs, continues with the Preakness Stakes (G1) on May 16 at Pimlico Race Course, and concludes with the Belmont Stakes (G1) on June 6 at Belmont Park.
