Grade 2-placed winner Racecar Rhapsody may be heading to the Middle East after being purchased by new owners.

Trainer Ken McPeek declined to disclose the name of the new owners, but did say the three-year-old bay Tale of the Cat colt “looks to be going to Dubai.”

Turfway Park owner Jerry Carroll, Stan Kaplan, Ronald Plattner, and Mark Guilfoyle previously owned Racecar Rhapsody, who finished third in the 2007 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs. Racecard Rhapsody finished fourth in the Preakness Stakes (G1) in his previous start on May 17 at Pimlico Race Course.

Racecar Rhapsody was scratched from a planned start in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race on Wednesday at Churchill.

“This was a good deal for Jerry and his partners,” McPeek said. “We hate to not run him, but all this came together and he had been entered in this race.”
