Tasha’s Miracle to bid for second graded win in Las Virgenes

Budget Stable’s and Team Valor International’s Grade 3 winner Tasha’s Miracle will bid for her second graded stakes victory when she makes her three-year-old debut in the $250,000 Las Virgenes Stakes (G1) on Saturday at Santa Anita Park.

The Harlan’s Holiday filly finished off the board in her previous two starts since capturing the 6 ½-furlong Sorrento Stakes (G3) on August 8 at Del Mar. Tasha’s Miracle subsequently finished fifth in the Oak Leaf Stakes (G1) on September 29 at the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita and fourth in the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) on October 27 at Monmouth Park, both at 1 1/16 miles, to wrap up her juvenile campaign.

Trained by John Sadler, Tasha’s Miracle will cut back in distance for the one-mile Las Virgenes on the all-weather Cushion Track surface.

Golden Doc A finished second or third in her four most recent starts since winning the Anoakia Stakes on October 20 at the Oak Tree meet. The Unusual Heat filly finished third in the Moccasin Stakes on November 11, in a dead heat for third with Set Play in the Miesque Stakes (G3) on November 24, and second in the Blue Norther Stakes on December 30 at Santa Anita to conclude 2007.

Golden Doc A just missed upsetting champion two-year-old filly Indian Blessing in the Santa Ynez Stakes (G2), finishing a head behind that foe on January 13 in her most recent start.

Grace Anatomy has second- and third-place finishes in two graded stakes, including the Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) on January 13 at Santa Anita in her previous start, and still seeks her first stakes win. In her stakes debut, the Aldebaran filly finished third, 1 ¼ lengths behind Country Star in the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1) on October 5 at Keeneland Race Course.
