Talent Search, runner-up in the Frank J. De Francis Dash Memorial Stakes (G1) and third-place finisher in the TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1), has been sidelined with a hairline fracture in a knee.
Owned and bred by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, Talent Search was scheduled to race for new trainer Bobby Frankel in the Gulf News Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-G1) on March 29 at Nad al Sheba racecourse.
Ken Ramsey said the injury is not career-ending. Talent Search is being treated at the Kentucky Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Versailles, Kentucky.
Previously trained by Mark Shuman, Talent Search also finished second to Fabulous Strike in the Vosburgh Stakes (G1) after winning the Jim McKay Stakes at Pimlico Race Course and Teddy Drone Stakes at Monmouth Park.
