Coolmore has purchased a half-interest in Hopeful Stakes (G1) winner Majestic Warrior from the Steinbrenner family’s Kinsman Stables.
Kinsman manager Jim Scott confirmed the private transaction on Monday morning. A sale price was not announced.
The homebred A.P. Indy colt out of multiple Grade 1 winner Dream Supreme, by Seeking the Gold, will remain in the care of Racing Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, Scott said.
Majestic Warrior won his debut on August 4 at Saratoga Race Course and followed with a 2 ½-length victory in the Hopeful on September 2.
Mott said last week that Majestic Warrior would probably make his next start in the Champagne Stakes (G1) on October 6 at Belmont Park.
Dream Supreme, who won the 2000 Test Stakes (G1) and Ballerina Handicap (G1) for Mott, is barren after visiting A.P. Indy this spring, Scott said. She produced a Giant’s Causeway filly named Codetta this season.
