Acorn Stakes (G1) winner Cotton Blossom most likely will make her next start in the $500,000 Delaware Oaks (G2) on July 14 at Delaware Park.

“Our filly danced four big dances in what is considered a relatively short period of time nowadays and could use the five weeks between the Acorn and the Delaware Oaks,” Dogwood Stable President Cot Campbell said.

The three-year-old Broken Vow filly earned $150,000 for her Acorn triumph, boosting her career earnings to $669,272. She has four wins, including three stakes victories, two second-place finishes, and one third-place finish from nine starts for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Cotton Blossom’s other graded stakes victory came in the 2006 Schuylerville Stakes (G3) at Saratoga Race Course. She finished second in last year’s Spinaway Stakes (G1) at Saratoga and the Fantasy Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn Park and was third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Churchill Downs.
