Invasor leads World Thoroughbred Racehorse Rankings

Breeders’ Cup Classic Powered by Dodge (G1) winner Invasor (Arg) edged Bernardini and Discreet Cat for the top spot in the 2006 World Thoroughbred Racehorse Rankings.
 
Invasor received a 129 rating, one pound ahead of Bernardini and Discreet Cat, who tied for second at 128 in the rankings compiled by international handicappers and published by the International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities.
 
Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Lucien Barriere (Fr-G1) winner Rail Link, Stan James Two Thousand Guineas (Eng-G1) winner George Washington (Ire), multiple Grade 1 winner Lava Man, and Japan Cup (Jpn-G1) winner Deep Impact all received 127 ratings.

Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Barbaro and Irish Derby (Ire-G1) winner Dylan Thomas (Ire) followed at 126.
 
The rankings list Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup (HK-G1) winner Pride as the top female in the world with a 123 rating, one pound ahead of Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) winner Ouija Board (GB).
