High Limit, who won a pair of Grade 2 races at Santa Anita Park last winter, has resumed training with Bobby Frankel in Southern California.

The Maria’s Mon horse initially was scheduled to stand the 2007 season at CloverLeaf Farms II in Reddick, Florida.

Owners Gary and Mary West decided instead to continue racing High Limit, who finished fourth as the favorite to Lava Man in the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) in his most recent start on March 4.

After that race, High Limit underwent surgery to remove an ankle chip, said Ben Glass, the West’s racing manager. The five-year-old horse breezed three furlongs in :37.80 at Hollywood Park on Monday.

Bred in Kentucky, High Limit won the 2005 Louisiana Derby (G2) and ’06 San Pasqual Handicap (G2) and Strub Stakes (G2). He has five wins in 12 career starts and earnings of $922,500.
