Spanish Glitter leads field in Thoroughbred Club of America

Fred Kissling's multiple stakes winner Spanish Glitter shoots for her third straight win and first graded stakes victory in the $100,000 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (G3) at Keeneland on Sunday. A field of seven fillies and mares will sprint six furlongs on the main track.

Spanish Glitter has hit the board in all 12 starts this year, including six wins, and enters the race off back to back wins in the Miss Oceana Stakes on September 15 and the Silver Maiden Stakes on October 8, both at Arlington Park. The three-year-old daughter of Glitterman is trained by Bernard Flint and has career earnings of $291,540.

Kaaren and Hays Biggs' Miss Seffens has been equally adept this year and has been installed as the 2-to-1 morning line favorite for trainer Steve Wren. The four-year-old daughter of Dehere has won four of eight starts this yea, including the Saylorville Stakes at Prairie Meadows, Ellis Park Breeders' Cup Handicap at Ellis Park, and the Storm Cat Stakes at Keeneland on October 7.

Robert Masterson's Another has been competitive against Grade 3 company this year, winning the First Lady Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream Park in her four-year-old debut on January 14 and running second to Hidden Assets in the Shirley Jones Handicap (G3) a month later. The four-year-old daughter of Seattle Slew has made four starts since then, including an allowance win at Keeneland in April and a runner-up finish to Miss Seffens in the Storm Cat Stakes in her previous start.

6. Miss Seffens, Jon Court, 122, 9-to-5; and

7. Rose Frances, Larry Melancon, 120, 15-to-1.
