Terry Bradshaw to speak at Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy fundraiser

Terry Bradshaw, a Hall of Fame NFL quarterback and current FOX TV analyst, will be the guest speaker at “Race for Grace,” the annual Derby-time fundraising dinner for the Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy. The event is set for Monday, April 30, at 6 p.m., in Millionaire’s Row at Churchill Downs.

The legendary Bradshaw won four Super Bowl titles during a six-year period with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 14 NFL seasons, he threw for nearly 28,000 yards and 212 touchdowns. He also rushed 444 times for 2,257 yards and 32 touchdowns. After his pro football career, Bradshaw went on to become an NFL analyst, and in 1994, joined FOX NFL Sunday.

Recognized as one of football’s most popular and candid commentators, Bradshaw’s walk as a born-again Christian is not as publicly known. He will be sharing testimony at the dinner about how a spiritual awakening changed his life.

Also appearing at the dinner will be Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day, who won the 1992 Kentucky Derby winner aboard Lil E. Tee, as well as other horseracing notables. Jackie Hays, who is well-known for her career as news anchor on WAVE TV, will be the event’s emcee.

The evening will also include musical entertainment and a live and silent auction of unusual horseracing memorabilia, sports tickets, and other items of interest. Dress is business casual.

Tickets are $150 per person, and tables for eight are $1,200. Various levels of sponsorship are also available and impact the level of services that the non-profit ministry is able to provide to track workers.
