A restraining order will allow Amen Hallelujah and Court Vision to race for trainer Justin Sallusto in Grade 1 races over the next two days at Keeneland Race Course.

The horses were entered by trainer Rick Dutrow Jr., who was denied a racing license in Kentucky on Wednesday. A statement from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission said it worked with the owners of both Amen Hallelujah and Court Vision so they can run as scheduled.

Amen Hallelujah finished second in the Vinery Madison Stakes (G1) on Thursday, and Court Vision is slated for the Maker’s Mark Mile Stakes (G1) on Friday. IEAH Stables owns both horses.

One day after Dutrow was denied a racing license in Kentucky, state horse racing rules seemed likely to force Amen Hallelujah to be scratched. But legal maneuvers left IEAH Stables’ Amen Hallelujah’s status in doubt for today’s eighth race and a restraining order allowed the filly to race.

IEAH Stables President Michael Iavarone confirmed the connections had launched legal efforts to allow Amen Hallelujah to race. With little time to comment, Iavarone said her status was, “in the hands of the lawyers.”

The Keeneland racing office confirmed early Thursday afternoon that legal action was taking place and a decision would be made after any court decision.

Dutrow trains Amen Hallelujah for IEAH Stables and Kentucky rules prohibit a trainer change after entries have been accepted.

Well it looks like the racing gods took care of Dutrow and IEAH, even if the racing powers that be didnt have the guts to do it!

This is only my opinion but I think that IEAH Stables' horses should be allowed to run. To deny the horses the right to run would be unfair.
I also think that Michael Iavarone is a great owner and person.

The owners take the risk in teaming up with Dutrow to begin with. They are not innocent victims - but the horses involved are. Leave it to bringing in the lawyers to interfere with a good decision by Keeneland.

How can a judge supercede the law? Last I heard, a licensed trainer was to saddle a horse in a race. Does Dutrow have a license or not? He sure doesn't deserve one in Kentucky or in any other state. I can only conclude his owners are of the same ilk. So his owners spent some money to bring the horse to KY. and now they are spending some more money on fast talking lawyers. Dutrow and his owners there was a huge possibility of his being denied a license in KY, so why push it? Dutrow's got plenty of trouble in other states as well! The Jockey Club is funding a study to find some answers for the woes of the racing world. One answer---get rid of trainers and owners who have been skimming the rules for years to the detriment of the magnificent creatures we should be serving.

SO right Joe in Pa..IEAH & Dutrow are what's wrong with US racing..their other trainer on the West Coast is Jeff Mullins, what does that tell you..It's a joke that isn't funny....
