Fans of night racing at Churchill Downs this spring will have their own unique wager.

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission on Wednesday approved the Louisville track’s request to add a pick ten wager for its scheduled night racing cards, which will begin with the April 30 opener.

The wager features a 10-cent minimum and requires players to select ten winners in a row. Like the pick six wager, if no one selects all ten winners, there will be consolation payouts and a carryover to the next night card. On the final night card of the spring, there will be a mandatory payout of any carryover. Night racing is scheduled for April 30, June 17, June 24, and July 1.

The track also plans to add the pick five wager at a minimum of 50 cents. There will be no carry over for the pick five, which requires bettors to select five straight winners. If no bettor selects the winners of the five races in the wager, bettors with the most winners will be awarded.
