What a huge loss. It is hard to find someone as caring and loving of these past champions as Cathy. She sure did love John and he loved her. Her stories of him always made me laugh. The Horse Park was lucky to have her. She and John are once again united. RIP Cathy. You deserve to sing with the angels.

What a terrible loss!
Cathy was a wonderful person, who was a friend to both humans and horses, and she will be sorely missed.
Now she is reunited with the famous champions she cared for, including her beloved John Henry.
God bless Cathy and her family and friends during this time.

I guess the stress of taking care of all those past champions finally got to Cathy, she was only 62yrs.young. I wonder if the Horse Park will promote within the house or seek someone from the outside to replace Cathy ?

Cathy Roby was an understated horseman whose ability was so natural and perfect that it often was taken for granted. She loved tempermental John Henry, and he loved her. Anyone who could gain the respect of the cantankerous Iron Horse needs no further epitaph. RIP, good lady. You will be sadly missed and impossible to replace.
