Roberts named Jockey Club of Canada executive director

Stacie Roberts was named The Jockey Club of Canada’s new executive director, effective September 7, on Wednesday in Toronto.
Roberts is the former publisher of The Game, a Thoroughbred newspaper that folded into Canadian Thoroughbred earlier this year. She has been involved in the Thoroughbred industry in Toronto for more than 25 years. In addition to administrative responsibilities with the Jockey Club of Canada, Roberts will also work with the Ontario Horse Racing Industry Association.
“Stacie’s knowledge of the Thoroughbred industry in Canada coupled with her creative and communication skills will help to promote the Canadian Thoroughbred industry both nationally and internationally through The Jockey Club of Canada initiatives,” said Jim Lawson, Jockey Club of Canada’s chief steward.
