Farm that produced Lawyer Ron to be auctioned

The Western Kentucky farm that produced 2007 champion older male Lawyer Ron will be sold in an absolute auction on April 23 in Utica, Kentucky.
Kurtz Auction and Realty Co. will conduct the auction of the 244-acre Hines Farm in Ownesboro. The auction includes the farm’s four barns, an indoor riding arena, a 10,000-square-foot main residence, two caretakers’ quarters, and other barns and paddocks.
The late Jim Hines owned and developed the property. Hines died in February 2006, just before his homebred Lawyer Ron swept the Southwest Stakes, Rebel Stakes (G3), and Arkansas Derby (G2) at Oaklawn Park.
