Santa Anita to remove Pro-Ride, may return to dirt

Ron Charles, track president of Santa Anita Park, told the Los Angeles Times that the track will remove its synthetic Pro-Ride surface at the end of the winter-spring meeting.

In a story that appeared in Tuesday's editon of the Times, Charles also said that replacing the Pro-Ride with a dirt surface is “very seriously being considered.”
