Brunetti Jr., Soth, Testa named to Hialeah posts

Posted: Tuesday, June 30, 2009 1:28 PM

John J. Brunetti has appointed John Brunetti Jr., Randy Soth, and Dennis Testa to executive positions in the planned rejuvenation of Hialeah Park.

Brunetti Jr. will serve as president of Hialeah Inc. and oversee the renovation project of the 200-acre facility.

Soth, past vice president of Calder Race Course, president of Fair Grounds, and racing secretary at Hialeah, will return as a vice president and general manager. Most recently, Soth was general manager and chief executive officer of Caymanas Track Ltd., which operates Caymanas Park in Jamaica.

Testa will serve as vice president of operations, continuing his family’s long association with Hialeah since the 1960s. Testa most recently was vice president of operations at Gulfstream Park.

“We are very fortunate to have young, experienced, and successful personnel leading the redevelopment of Hialeah Park,” John J. Brunetti said. “All of these appointees have worked together before and should bring things together quickly. I will be working with John Jr. obtaining all of the necessary entitlements and permits required for the redevelopment. The challenge is great but I know these three men will get it done.”
