Kentucky Horse Park to hold racing appreciation day

The Kentucky Horse Park will hold its annual Hats Off to Kentucky’s Horse Industry appreciation day from 2-5 p.m. EDT on August 15.

Admission to the event, aiming to educate guests on the Thoroughbred industry’s impact on the commonwealth of Kentucky, is free and includes children’s activities and educational booths.

State leaders and representatives from the University of Kentucky will make special appearances.

Also on the same day, the park will preview the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and stage a $50,000 Grand Prix show jumping competition.
