Williams resigns from Magna board of directors

Charlie J. Williams resigned from Magna Entertainment Corp.’s board of directors on Monday.
Williams was brought on to the board in February 2007 and served on the audit committee.
“I have greatly enjoyed my time as a director of MEC,” Williams said. “However, in the current environment there are other business matters unrelated to MEC that require all of my time and attention. I will always maintain a strong interest in MEC and a wish that it, and horse racing generally, will have a bright future.”
